The organizer and the licensing office of the 2025 World Expo in Osaka, western Japan, launched on Friday a set of products in collaboration with Hello Kitty, one of the world's most beloved feline characters, in a bid to foster momentum for the global event.
The officially licensed products include T-shirts and keychains bearing Myaku-Myaku, the official character of the Expo, together with Hello Kitty, a "special supporter" of the event, or other Sanrio characters, according to the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition.
The launch event for the goods in Osaka was also attended by Hello Kitty and Myaku-Myaku mascots.
The goods, which also include ballpens, memo pads and stickers, will be available at the expo's official online store, some of the Expo official stores and some Sanrio shops, the association said.
A second batch of the tie-up products is scheduled to be launched in fall.
