Yuichiro Miura is a prominent Japanese alpinist known for adventures he undertook over many decades. In August 2023, he took on 3,776-meter Mt. Fuji at age 90 with his team, who helped transport him up Japan's highest peak in a bespoke wheelchair. But he did so only after a string of physical therapy sessions as a disease has left him with a tingling sensation in his legs and a loss of mobility.
